Slot Moments: Grand and Super Grand Chance on Single Dollar Storm Bonus

Dollar Storm by Aristocrat super grand

While a lot of the Slot Moments shared here on the site are on bets achievable by many, the goal for the series overall is to show the true potential of the game. Sometimes some crazy moments at higher bets are just too spectacular to not take a look, and a recent video by TheBigPayback fits the bill nicely.

In this case, the bonus was on Dollar Storm. The game features an additional jackpot not seen on the Link predecessors, the Super Grand jackpot, which features a chance symbol that can award a fixed prize or the progressive.

As part of a series where Tim, aka TheBigPayback, attempts to “bankrupt the casino,” he played a series of games, and ended up at Dollar Storm. The play begins at 27:00:

The bonus starts out promisingly with a Super Grand Chance landing as part of a Hold and Spin bonus trigger. The Super Grand Chance pays at least $1,000, so he was off to a great start on $25 bets.

But then the unexpected happens – with the most difficult space on the Hold and Spin remaining, he lands it and completes the 15 spaces to land the grand jackpot!

That yields not only a nearly $11,000 grand jackpot, but also a $1500 Super Grand Chance outcome in his case, so his final take on that $25 bet was a bit over $13,000, which works out to more than 500x his bet. On any bet level that would still be quite something, but to do it at the $25 bet level is simply outstanding.

It’s rare to see a grand jackpot of any type to be seen on a hold and spin bonus caught on film, let alone from start to finish, although I’ve shared examples of this in the past. But with Dollar Storm and that additional jackpot chance, it adds another layer altogether.

The Slot Moments series selects videos that can show the real potential of a slot machine game. Do you have a moment that stands out for you? Share in the comments and it may be featured in a future edition!
