Aristocrat tends to make some volatile games, but many times for its licensed games it tended to seem very stingy in line hit payouts.
Arguably the same could be said for Dune (I previously talked about this game in my G2E coverage), one of its newest games, but there is one interesting quirk that can come into play for the game, in that full reels of premium symbols yield a multiplier as well, which can help amplify pays. Get five of a kinds and it gets quite interesting.
That’s exactly the case that happened to NewEnglander82, who was playing Dune and managed four full reels, which activated a 5x, 6x, 7x and 8x multiplier. They multiply together, vs. getting added, which is the secret sauce.
When you multiple those all together, you get a 1,680x multiplier! And even though a single line is 28 credits ($2.80 on a $16 per spin bet in this case), the multiplier carried it to 47,040 credits (dime denomination, meaning over $4,700)… but oh, he has two of the same symbol in the first reel, so it’s x2.
There are times where a video can show a game’s true potential, which is the sort of thing I like to showcase in Slot Moments. This is the perfect example of that, where you can see exactly where the pays can land. And based on the comments from other slot channels, this is one of those rare scenarios that won’t play out all that often, but you can see where the opportunity lies.
And in this case, a win of nearly 600x is not too shabby at all!
