It seems like an avalanche of new slot games have been hitting floors as of late, as the casinos see a massive rebound and guests and continue to invest in updating their floors. At my home casinos, dozens of new games have cropped up in just the past couple of months.

Recently The Slot Cats got a tour of a variety of new Scientific Games slot machines that are either out or coming out soon. They cover a variety of themes, styles and formats, with something for just about everyone.

The games covered include:

  • Willy Wonka – Dreamers of Dreams (starts at 1:43)
  • 88 Fortunes – Emperor’s Coins (starts at 7:20)
  • Epic Fortunes – Blast Chance and Power Peach (starts at 12:38)
  • Quick Hit Fortunes Blitz – Jungle (starts at 17:10)
  • Emeralds & Shamrocks (starts at 22:18)
  • Sword of Destiny – Fire Warrior (starts at 24:11)
  • Coin Combo – Carnival Cow (starts at 30:20)
  • The Wizard of Oz – Over the Rainbow (starts at 36:30)
  • 5 Treasures Explosion (starts at 43:22)

If you look at the list, you’ll see there’s a lot of brand extensions here, along with one revival of a classic game. It does seem like there’s an emphasis on reduced risk with this latest swing of games. Given they’re rolling out new cabinets, including Kascada and Mural, right now, it’s not uncommon for the first waves of games to be games that will have better chances of success by being familiar themes with new twists.

But they’re definitely pulling out all the stops, with Coin Combo extending the 88 Fortunes/Dancing Drums style format, a Quick Hit sequel that merges an old theme with the Blitz format, 5 Treasures Explosion mixing a popular theme with a sequel format in Explosion, an 88 Fortunes sequel, and leveraging popular premium themes like Willy Wonka and Wizard of Oz.

It’s a 45-minute video packed with information, with plenty to learn and enjoy! Since the games were in demo mode, they were able to show off how the games worked quickly. Enjoy this preview of a variety of slots coming out in the future!
